Optometry Office Coordinator/Receptionist
Job Description:
Texas State Optical Midlothian is a large locally owned optometry office that is seeking a full-time staff member with a great personality.
Our office focuses on quality patient care and strives to provide the highest level of customer service.
Experience in healthcare is preferred, but will consider applicants in other related fields.
A good understanding and background working with vision plans as well as medical insurance is highly favored.
We are looking for a team member who is reliable, has great phone etiquette, and has excellent in person communication skills.
Responsibilities would include a positive interaction with patients, answering phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, authorizing vision plans and verifying health insurance information, collecting/processing payments.
When at the front desk other duties include greeting/checking inpatients, going over benefits with patients and monitoring patient wait time.

Candidates must be service oriented and have a stable work history.
We are located in the rapidly growing Hwy 287 corridor in Midlothian, just 10 minutes east of Mansfield and west Waxahachie.
Compensation is based on experience and work ethic, but starting minimum is $15 an hour.
Hours shown in the link are our office operating hours during the week.
Employees are expected to work 5 days a week with Saturdays included.

Responsibilities:
Answer and direct phone calls in a timely manner.
Maintain an organized filing system.
Process paperwork for employees and external customers.
Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry.
Maintain a positive, professional, and courteous attitude towards customers and co-workers.
Provide support to the Marketing team with projects or tasks as assigned.
Assist in the coordination of projects with other departments or agencies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
