Warehouse Supervisor

Overview

PURPOSE


Support the procurement function within an operating company by maximizing efficiencies associated with the provision of material to the operation.


Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.

  • Manage all aspects of warehousing including handling stock reconciliation, incoming goods, issuing goods, receiving returned goods, inventory, quality and inspection stock.

  • Implement and manage warehousing strategies, policies and procedures as defined by the Inventory Manager to ensure that movement and storage of goods is effective throughout the operating company.

  • Drive improvement and results in operational efficiency and inventory strategies.

  • Ensure warehousing KPI\u2019s are defined and measured to support effective operations. Prepare and publish warehousing reports to demonstrate performance.

  • Take responsibility to receive, store, and dispatch goods; track shipments; coordinate import and export activities; and interface with internal and external customers and suppliers as necessary.

  • Ensure warehouse strategies that assure plant reliability are properly defined and enforced.

  • Implement warehouse management policy and best practice procedures.

  • Ensure Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements are met in the warehouse.

  • Create SAP Contracts and MRP orders.

  • Work closely with other functions such as maintenance, production, and finance to effectively support the operation.

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of stock to the operation.?

  • Plant Managers and Supervisors, Technicians, and Operators

  • May directly supervise other employees


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


Required Education:? Bachelor Degree with at least 3 years of experience or High School Diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience


Field of Study Preferred:? Purchasing, Logistics, Planning


Required Work Experience:? At least 3 years in purchasing or warehouse management or 3 years in a manufacturing environment, production or maintenance


Preferred Training/Certifications:? Certified Purchasing Manager? ?


Required Computer and Software Skills: ?Proficient in MS Office, Good SAP knowledge


Travel Requirements: ?Low

  • Experience in forecasting, MRPII, ISO 9001, Batch tracking, and EDI or scanning systems


 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
