PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Process Shift Supervisor, the primary function of this position is to operate a wheel loader to move various materials from stockpiles to silos/bins and maintain proper levels for each. Proper care of the equipment is also the responsibility of the operator.
Responsibilities


  • Operates heavy equipment safely and efficiently


  • Perform pre shift inspections on the equipment


  • Report any needed repairs to the supervisor


  • Keep equipment clean including inside cab


  • Maintain proper levels in coal tank, sand bin, slag bin, catalyst bin, gypsum bins and man sand bins


  • Making sure the material goes to its proper bin without contamination to other silos/bins


  • Must be able to maintain accurate records


  • Assist in plant clean up


  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor



Requirements


  • Must be able to read and write to complete required daily reports


  • Must have good communication skills one on one


  • Must have good communications skills using a two way radio


  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision


  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders


  • Must be able to remain seated in equipment for up to 12 hrs/day


  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to safely operate equipment


  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions


  • Must keep safety above all else



WORKING CONDITIONS
Works in all weather conditions including heat, cold, ice, rain and in high humidity and is required to work in all plant environments. Incumbent will be exposed to vibrating equipment and mechanical and electrical hazards and heights. . May have exposure to dust, cement, clay, gypsum, sand, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, etc. (See MSDS's)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
